CAMP BIBLE LESSONS

II. How to Prepare

A. Prepare yourself-

1.Pray

a. To confess sin and be a clean vessel

b. To invite God the Holy Spirit to use you

c. To have wisdom to teach

2. Get alone (if at all possible)

a. Find a place where you can use your Bible, notes etc.

b. Have your pencil(s), markers, extra paper etc. available

3. Focus your mind on the task

a. Avoid distractions such as music if possible

B. Prepare your lesson-

1. Scan the lessons to see what is taught through the entire book

2. Begin by reading the Scripture over once or twice that the lesson is covering Scripture Lesson (At the top of the page)

3. Note mentally or write down any difficult words or hard to understand verses you find

4. Read over the "Tips for Teachers" for help in focussing on the theme or ways to explain certain passages

5. Start answering the questions in the pupil's work book (for the age group you are teaching that week)

a. Look up references and before you look at the key (centre of the teacher's book) think of or write in an answer of your own.

b. Try to imagine how the pupils will answer

6. Do the entire lesson carefully and memorize the verse for that day if you expect campers to

7. Check the key for the answers- don't worry about minor variations in wording
