PERSONNEL PRINCIPLES

CSSM PERSONNEL POLICIES and PRINCIPLES

Remember always to live as Christians should? Philippians 1:27 (Living N.T.)

1 . Christian leadership demands your very best, so give yourself wholeheartedly and sacrificially to your task. Be a loyal worker

·         Loyal to Christ: you are His servant and He is your Master (Mark 10.45)

·         Loyal to your Director: he must be able to count on you (Rom 13.1)

·         Loyal to your campers: they need you (Matt 25.40)

·         Loyal to your fellow workers: the ministry group is a team (Rom 12.3-5)

 2. Observe the schedule. Make sure your group is acquainted with the schedule and moves along with it. Cabin leaders are expected to attend all activities such as meals, chapel services, etc., and guide the involvement of their group or team.

 3. Permission to leave the camp grounds while camp is in session must be obtained from the Camp Director.

 4. All camp summer missionaries are responsible for the cost of long distance calls of a  personal nature.  We ask that you either reverse the charges or use a calling card. Ask  permission from your director or the secretary to use the phone.

 5. The clothing you wear should be a reflection of your purpose in being a Christian camp cabin leader. Anything skimpy or of a sensual nature should be left at home. Bathing wear is to be worn only at the beach or pool. For your own protection footwear should be worn at all times except on the beach or by the pool. (Rom 12.1-2, 1Tim 2.9)

 6. Summer missionary relations are to be kept on a friendly basis. Over friendliness between summer missionary members detract from the purpose of the camp program and will be checked immediately. Romance is wonderful but your assignment is your highest priority. (Luke 9.23)

 7. Rising and retiring times, as set out in the camp schedule, are to be observed by all summer missionary members. Cabin leaders must remain in their cabins with their campers after lights out until the morning program.

8. Counsel your own gender only, preferably your own cabin group.

9. The use or possession of all forms of tobacco, alcoholic beverages, weapons and elicit drugs is strictly prohibited on all CSSM property and at any CSSM function.

10.All report forms must be completed and handed to the Camp Director PRIOR TO LEAVING CAMP. Please write or print so that what you give on your report can be easily read.

11. The purpose of camp is to learn of God through nature, personal devotions, group interaction and chapels.  To facilitate this, ipods, CD's, laptops and other audio/video equipment will be handed in to the director at the beginning of camp.
